The school infirmary is staffed full-time by a qualified nurse and part-time by the school doctor. Emergency cases are treated on-site or, if necessary, are referred to a hospital. Diagnosis and treatment are provided for children who come down with illness.
Our main target is to teach health awareness and healthy habits to our children. The school doctor and nurse participate in individual and group education in collaboration with the guidance counsellors, on topics such as sex education, tuberculosis, AIDS, family planning, cancer, nutrition, adolescence and the harm of smoking. Health personnel are involved in checking the food sold in school from production to consumption, water supplies and maintenance of school hygiene.
